Training & Demonstration sessions in Orchid Show 2014

The Training & Demonstration sessions scheduled during the orchid show 2014 is mainly focused onto introduce orchids to the beginner along with some of the specific requirements of orchids. This will be imparted through lecture, demo and hands on on various cultural aspects.

The schedule is as follows,

General outline of the programme is a below,

1. Introducing epiphytes and Terrestrials
2. Introducing Monopodials and Sympodials – growth habit
3. Light and Temperature requirement
4. Water and Humidity
5. Pots and potting media
6. Aeration
7. Propagation
8. Nutrition
9. Insects & pest management

Registration

All these sessions spread over three days are aimed at helping get beginners started on orchid growing all the interested orchid growers/wannabe growers are encouraged to attend these. It is not necessary to attend all the sessions in order to understand and get insight into orchid growing as each session will cover all the aspects of growing outlined above.
